Thanks Jenny :)
You have all inspired me. Now I have my iPad and I'm back at work, I'm eager to make sure I'm using it to it's full potential. Hope to get to the conf next year, will see how we go with the kids!
I just saw your comment asking me about posting the Mobile Learning Conference event in Phoenix AZ coming up in April. So sorry I missed it! Have you started posting links of these kinds of events somewhere? I would love to have you post it. It's going to be a fantastic conference! http://mobile2011.org/ I have been asked to help facilitate the Skype presentations for the conference, and I understand you will be one of the Skype presenters! Can't wait to connect with you!! Peggy
Thank you for getting back to me, I have now downloaded italk sync. But can't get italk sync to work, it searches for ipods but it doesn't work. I have my ipod on the wireless network and italk open on the ipod. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong?
I attended the Slide2learn conference in Shep. I'm modelling how to create guided reading material on the ipod touch. I've recorded a story in italk but can't remember how get the sound file in italk into itunes. I'm using a pc, could you please help :)
Hi Jenny. Thanks for presenting this afternoon, fantastic ideas & I think your ideas could run on LOTE as well. Yes I am lucky to have iPod touch & iPad to use just in LOTE no need to share with any teachers. I definitely will checking on this Ning & get more great ideas & hopfully share few with you all. :)
Hello. Wondering if you can help us out with some information. We are looking to get some syncing device for ten or so ipods. I know ther are units that sync up to twenty but I was sure I heard someone talking about a much cheaper device that syncs ten at once. Am I right and if so could you please point me in the right direction.
I would appreciate your assistance.
I am the principal of two small schools, those being St Brendan's in Dunnstown and St Mary's in Clarkes Hill. The student numbers are 27 and 19 respectively. Myself and two teachers from St Brendan's attended the Slide2Learn conference and we have come away excited about the opportunities ipods would present to us to improve the quality of the teaching and learning. I have spent the last week or so crunching the numbers and feel that we are in a positon to delve into a very exciting stage of development for St Brendan's. At this stage I am hoping that we will be able to afford 10 0r so ipods and we are looking at introducing a few Apple Macs into the school at the same time.
Thanks for the welcome! I am really excited about this PLN. I teach teachers how to use the iPod in their classrooms so I am always looking for new ways. I'm also looking forward to sharing what I have found and learned. Thanks!
