Just beginning

Hi All

A few teachers at my school have just started to explore the possible uses of iPod technology and I think my brain might explode! This site has provided some top ideas already, but one thing I'm wondering is about the bulk syncing of a class set of iPods. I'd love to buy 30 iPods, identify some apps to buy, have them in the library or something then lend them out to classes to use for lots of different purposes. Is this do-able? I know an individual iTunes account can…

What is an iPod touch?

Apple markets iPod touch as 'the funnest iPod ever!'.

In the first instance it is essentially a wonderful multimedia device. However beyond that an iPod touch is able to be used in many other ways. An iPod touch is also:

  • a pocket computer;
  • a personal mobile device;
  • a content consumption device; and
  • a content creation device.
The types of content that iPod touches deal with… Continue

Pre Slide To Learn Conference

I am looking forward to the Slide to Learn Conference and the eight hour drive (or so) from Wollongong NSW. I have yet to go over the Albury-Wodonga bypass and that is said to save 30 minutes in itself!

I have been teaching computing studies for years in NSW and probably my weakest area is in the use of portable devices in schools which means I am looking forward to new ideas, concepts and I will be easily impressed.

My school (K - 12) has recently put in a… Continue
