You could try using 'In Class' or go for the big guns with 'Pocket Informant HD'.

Teacherpal is good for grades.

Let us know how you get on.

Hi there, I am using two apps for assessment. Evernote to record notes, record audio of presentations/reading and take photos of student work. The other app is TeacherPal. Very much used to record academic marks and general behavior notes.

I use Pocket Informant HD - combined with BusyCal on my MacBook Pro, I can have unlimited calendars to create various levels of a timetable. All calendars can have different colours - makes it visual quick and easy to view. Interacts easily with iCal on my MacBook and my iPhone - so everything is seamless.

Have also seen, but not used:

- My Timetable ( - $0.99

- Timetable HD 2 ( - $0.99

This is a bit late ... only just joined S2L .....

See the screenshot off my iPad for some possibilities.

I suspect, though, that your best solution would be a free Evernote account

A final suggestion is Google Drive ... which is really a rebranded Google Docs ... at the moment Google's iPad gDrive App is not ready ... but Google Drive can be accessed on iPad via Goodreader

I'd be interested to know what you choose.

Have fun

I use Planbook - it's a bit fiddly to set up, but once done, works a treat. I input all my timetable details and lesson plans. If lessons are missed, they can be bumped to the next lesson. Lessons can also be easily copied and pasted and days can be designated 'non-school' days as required. I can view my weekly lessons or the whole day and I can back them up to DropBox. If I am away, I can email my lessons for the day to the staff member who organises CRTs. Planbook cannot be used to record student results - I use my own spreadsheet for this.
Check the link above. It goes to a product called 'echronicle'. I have used it for years and find it is the best comprehensive teacher management tool that i have seen so far. It is available for windows or mac, but not for mobile devices. I decided to trial a couple of apps this year aswell. I am using Teacher Assistant to record student notes and like it.

Im very keen to make an Easy Planning app as the 3rd addition to my Easy Assessment and Easy Portfolio app range. The app would scale back some of the features from the expensive planning apps that I dont think users need and focus on the most useful aspects.
